I dropped it a while ago, so unless something like that happened in the later chapters, no. It's structured a little similar to sports anime/manga. There's a rival and all. And IIRC they even compete with other schools later on.

I was wondering what Aono's father did but an affair whilst being a public figure, I can see why Aono wouldn't want anything to do with the violin because to him it would serve as a reminder for his mother of the drama she went through at that time. I liked how she always expected him to go back to it, considering he grew up with it, it's still definitely a part of him.

I also liked how Takeda seems really supportive of Aono and not in the way that he's doing it because it's his job, he seems to genuinely want to see him play the violin again and learning that he was a violinist himself makes his actions make more sense.

I guessed it was either 1 of 3 things. Either the father died a year ago, and Aono didn't want to play the Violin anymore because it'd remind him of his father. Or the father was abusive, and died, which same reason as before. My third guess was that he cheated XD

I guessed either of the first two options, but since his wife was so cute, cheating never occurred to me. -__-

I mean, doesn't matter how cute/beautiful the wife is....the SO is a scumbag for cheating at all...and we'll never understand what they're thinking. At least, I hope we don't, because the instant we do, we become more likely to cheat if we ever have a SO
